I don’t like New Years resolutions because they all too often flop and aren’t realistic. If you want to work out everyday or eat more healthy, that’s fine. But…you probably won’t keep it because the resolution you’ve made is too vague. I prefer goals. Make goals for yourself to be able to obtain your year-end or decade-end goal.
Art shouldn’t be judged by a scale, and the ability of those artists not judged.
As I got older, I appreciated coffee shops for their unique place in life. In a coffee shop, conversations varied from person-to-person, from conversation-to-conversation. Each held a unique place in such an establishment and that uniqueness was beautiful.
At To Move Mountains our goal is to bring strong education to the Nuba region of Sudan. After 30 years of dictatorship rule, the death of over 3 million citizens, and unstable living conditions, the Nuba people came to the conclusion that what their future was in need of most was education.
One of the best things is being able to be used as a vessel for something to be said. For writer’s that is the reality. We’ve flirted with Fiction in one way or another, and then she grasped us and said, “I have something to say through you.” And what do we have to say other than, “Here am I”?
