It's the uncertainty in combat zones soldiers face, where their situational awareness is tested. Where what you thought was right might not be right, or what you thought was wrong...wasn't.
For myself, I used to think mental illness was linked with serial killers, so the very notion that I might have mental issues was absurd. I'm not a serial killer. My search history might disagree, but I'm a writer.
Maybe if you're like me, you have many scenes disconnected and needing something to connect them all. I'm a very linear thinker, so I need to know what comes next or else nothing gets done.
