Merry Christmas to all. This will be the last you hear from me this year. As Last Best Press closes another year, I’m pleased to see where we are. A book has been published and at least two more are due out 2019 (schedule willing). A podcast is being planned and I hope to have the pilot episode, so to speak, out January. It won’t be anything fantastic, just a rundown of what the podcast purpose is.
A Patreon page is also being setup to give people the option to get a look into what goes on behind the pages. As to the content, that’s still being worked out, but it’s looking good. The whole purpose behind the podcast and Patreon page is to create some revenue so we can potentially hire someone to help with production. That means editor for the blog, able to pay writers, host a contest or two. The vision for Last Best Press is to go beyond an independent publishing venue and try to cover the arts and artisans of Montana. It seems that the location of the Flathead Valley has generated a close-knit community, and I’m interested in getting them to talk about their passion on a broader platform.
I have high hopes for 2019 and can’t wait to see what we can create. However, for the month of January and possibly the first half of February, there will be no new articles being posted. There may be reposts, but no new material. More than likely I’ll be setting up goals and figure out what we really want to tackle for this new year.
See you next year! That joke never gets old.
Merry Christmas, ‘ya filthy animal! And a Happy New Year.
